1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Open Path Group website, the Operations Assessment, playbooks, Academy, and related services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you're using the Services on behalf of a church or organization, you confirm you're authorized to do so.

2. Who We Are

Open Path Group is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to help churches build healthier operations. The Services are offered in support of that charitable mission.

3. Your Account

Some Services require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

You are responsible for the data you enter and for using the Services in a way that respects the privacy and dignity of the people your church serves.

5. Subscriptions & Payment

Some plans are free; others are paid monthly subscriptions. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled, and fees are billed through our payment processor. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.

6. Donations

Donations to Open Path Group are voluntary gifts in support of our charitable mission and, except as required by law, are non-refundable. As a 501(c)(3) organization, gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and we will provide a receipt.

7. Intellectual Property

The Services, including playbooks, content, designs, and trademarks such as the Church Operations Maturity Model™ and the Open Path Index™, are owned by Open Path Group and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your church's own operations. Data you enter remains yours.

8. Guidance, Not Professional Advice

Open Path provides operational tools and educational content. It does not provide legal, financial, tax, or professional advice. You are responsible for verifying that your use of the Services complies with the laws and obligations that apply to your organization.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Open Path Group will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Changes to the Services or Terms

We may update the Services and these Terms over time. When we make material changes to the Terms, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated or to protect the Services and their users. On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in Fairfax County, Virginia, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
